Decision Made! Give-away ready to go!

Okie-dokie!  The great Fall-into-Fall Giveaway is about to begin!  REGISTER at all the blogs listed HERE between October 1 and October 15.

The winners of  this, my 1st give-away, will receive 1 of  5 gifts.  I couldn't give up the three I had already chosen so I added 2 more- a home-made thing and some Halloween-y fabrics.

One of the gifts is a wonderful book by Cathy Wierzbicki called Twosey-Foursey Quilts.  Cathy wrote great patterns - and it's usable a couple of ways.  There's actually a ruler called the "All in One" ruler (want one? I've got a few!) plus since it's 2" and 4" units, it's one that you could use if you follow Bonnie Hunter's Leaders-and-Enders process (there's also a BOOK by the same name).

Then is a pattern by Bloom Creek for a quilt that's 72" x 83" using paper hexies (included in the pattern!).  I've started one of these and it's quite relaxing hand work. I used a glue stick to turn under the edges of the red fabrics on the large hexies and then am slowly assembling the large flowers in slow times at the grocery store. Slow times are fixin' to be over for a while because it's the 1st of the month, now, and people get their "checks" a.k.a. "the eagle flies" so we'll be busy now for a couple of weeks...
Next is  a Sweet Treats FQ pack called "Time for Tricks and Treats", which, as you can see, is a group of 8 Fat Quarters all black, orange, and white.  Sweet Treats are found at quilt shows and their displays are always WON-derful!  If you've ever seen them- it's a glorious selection where they've prettily packaged 8 FQs all coordinated in every combination you can imagine. There are colors like the rainbow, themes like animals or babies or solar system, etc. You can see them at the Pink Pin Cushion Boutique here .

Then there's a group of 6 Fat Quarters by Riley-Blake fabrics that look fall-ish or pumpkin-ish.  I first saw Riley Blake fabrics at Houston last year and they've got quite a few cute fabrics out.

Last but not least is a pin cushion I made am making. It's almost done!  That red blob on the top will turn into a cherry to sit atop the cupcake, then it'll all be magically put together by the time we have the give-away!  It's funny how having a dead line gets things finally finished, isn't it!?!

So, TOMORROW is the 1st day.  How do you win???  Leave comments, of course! Please tell me in your note what you're working on now or what you'd do with Halloween-y type fabrics.  Orange just isn't my thing so I'll love hearing what you're working on this time of year! Be sure to leave your blog address so I can come visit you! And I hope you'll visit here even after the give-away is over.  Hope you win!

Thanks for the generous giveaway! What beautiful things you're giving away, love the cupcake. I'm working on a fall pieced quilt, but since I love applique I'm adding a border with pumpkins and fall leaves. I'm mostly designing it myself, so who knows what I'll end up with. I hope you'll stop by my fIf giveaway also if you haven't already. Happy blog hopping!

What I'm working on at the moment is a chunky cross stitch cushion for my 2yr old son,if I won the fabrics I would make a stuffed pumpkin and some bats and a couple of trick or treat bags for the kids!

I've just finished a project, so there's nothing on the table at the moment! I don't think I have ANY orange in my stash, so I'd use the plainer stuff to round out my colour palette, and the halloweeney stuff to make something like knitting bags for friends. :)

Hi there, I am working on a quilted tote bag at the moment. I am new to quilting and have not yet got the courage up to start an actual quilt. Baby steps! I would use the Halloween fabrics to, more than likely, make more totes. I just love them.
Thanks for participating!

I would love to win that Riley fabric, yummy!

I am doing a few projects, two Christmas tablerunners, a quilt for my neice with touchy feely pieces, and I am hand stitching 4 little wall hangings.

Nothing specifically orange or fallish, but who knows, tomorrow is another day ;0)

I like your halloween fabric - have seen lots of patterns for quilts with pumpkins, etc. Would be great for that!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Only halloween things I'm working on are costumes for the grandkids.

I have all the fabric ready for beginning the quilt: when the frost is on the pumpkins. I just love orange fabric and there will be many of them in this last quilt. Fortunately, my husband is a Clemson fan, so all orange I'm not using for Halloween, is placed in a secret (although it's been found twice by the 3 year old son) hiding place so I can make my husband an orange tiger paw quilt.
Thank you for the lovely giveaway! You're first one too...congrats!

Your giveaway is great! I love the cupcake! I think I would take the halloween fabric and make a lap quilt with it. I purchased a great border fabric 3 years ago and have been waiting for the rest of the fabric to go with it.

material would go to my daughter so she could make something nice.

I am entering for my daughter Mel, her computer is down and she called and asked if once again I would enter her in contests, I couldn’t say no as she helps my wife and her mother with their charity quilting projects. I try to support them any way that I can.

I am traveling abroad right now, so I am doing some hand applique, scrappy plaid Dresden Plates onto scrappy beige backgrounds. And orange is my new favorite color - it was green for years (because I love the outdoors) but ever since I started quilting a couple years ago, orange has been moving its way up the ladder to the top spot. Thanks for the chance to win - I'd be thrilled with any of those awesome prizes!
