Decision Made! Give-away ready to go!

Okie-dokie!  The great Fall-into-Fall Giveaway is about to begin!  REGISTER at all the blogs listed HERE between October 1 and October 15.

The winners of  this, my 1st give-away, will receive 1 of  5 gifts.  I couldn't give up the three I had already chosen so I added 2 more- a home-made thing and some Halloween-y fabrics.

One of the gifts is a wonderful book by Cathy Wierzbicki called Twosey-Foursey Quilts.  Cathy wrote great patterns - and it's usable a couple of ways.  There's actually a ruler called the "All in One" ruler (want one? I've got a few!) plus since it's 2" and 4" units, it's one that you could use if you follow Bonnie Hunter's Leaders-and-Enders process (there's also a BOOK by the same name).

Then is a pattern by Bloom Creek for a quilt that's 72" x 83" using paper hexies (included in the pattern!).  I've started one of these and it's quite relaxing hand work. I used a glue stick to turn under the edges of the red fabrics on the large hexies and then am slowly assembling the large flowers in slow times at the grocery store. Slow times are fixin' to be over for a while because it's the 1st of the month, now, and people get their "checks" a.k.a. "the eagle flies" so we'll be busy now for a couple of weeks...
Next is  a Sweet Treats FQ pack called "Time for Tricks and Treats", which, as you can see, is a group of 8 Fat Quarters all black, orange, and white.  Sweet Treats are found at quilt shows and their displays are always WON-derful!  If you've ever seen them- it's a glorious selection where they've prettily packaged 8 FQs all coordinated in every combination you can imagine. There are colors like the rainbow, themes like animals or babies or solar system, etc. You can see them at the Pink Pin Cushion Boutique here .

Then there's a group of 6 Fat Quarters by Riley-Blake fabrics that look fall-ish or pumpkin-ish.  I first saw Riley Blake fabrics at Houston last year and they've got quite a few cute fabrics out.

Last but not least is a pin cushion I made am making. It's almost done!  That red blob on the top will turn into a cherry to sit atop the cupcake, then it'll all be magically put together by the time we have the give-away!  It's funny how having a dead line gets things finally finished, isn't it!?!

So, TOMORROW is the 1st day.  How do you win???  Leave comments, of course! Please tell me in your note what you're working on now or what you'd do with Halloween-y type fabrics.  Orange just isn't my thing so I'll love hearing what you're working on this time of year! Be sure to leave your blog address so I can come visit you! And I hope you'll visit here even after the give-away is over.  Hope you win!

I LOVE orange. It's my favorite color. Not so much into Halloween, but I LOVE fall.

I'm working on donation quilt tops right now.

You really want to know what I'm working on??? I spent 4 weeks in Florida house/cat sitting for my daughter and pieced 7 quilt tops. Now that I am home, I have to quilt them along with the 4 customer quilts waiting for me! I used to hate orange too, until I found out how well it popped the purple I love!

Thank you for participating in the blog hop and giveaway.

I have 4 kids, so the halloween fabrics all get turned into things for them. They are always stealing a quilt for snuggling!

I thought I had signed up for your giveaway but evidentally not. Please add my name to the hat!

I have been sewing together a quilt top and am currently machine quilting an opportunity quilt for a guild in my state.

Wonderful prizes all! Thanks for participating; and this your first giveaway...congrats to you!
Throughout the hop, many bloggers are showing their fall decor...and I am realizing I need to make some stuff for myself in MY home...seems I give most everything away that I make. So, thats where any of the fallish fabs will go..into a table topper first, then a wallhanging. I'm enjoying all the new blogs to visit too.

I am currently in a machine quilting class and have the quilting to finish this week and next week, at the last class, we will be putting the binding on.

Wow, thanks for the giveaways, love the fabrics especially! I finished a lot of tatted autumn leaves!

Wow that's a lot of great stuff to give away! I'm sure I'd make placemats and/or table runners out of the Halloween fabrics - I have nooooooo decorations for that holiday. What am I working on now? Actually, I'm trying to build up inventory for our campground's first craft sale, in about 4 weeks. Lots of little cell phone purses, maybe some casserole cozies, and snowflakes & angels in freestanding lace. Visit our travel blog (we live in our RV) at http://blog.thecallanders.name

Enjoy!

I just finished a cute witch hanging for my front door. I also made a quilt from Moda Bake Shop.

No Halloween projects for me this year! I'm quilting something, then it's probably on to making a Jedi costume (for an 8-year-old, adapted from an adult pattern...)

Orange can be fun if you mix it in. I just made a project that's pretty bright - orange, peachy-orange, orange-y yellow, and pinks - not fall-colored at all.

I was never sure about orange, either, until I saw Pat Sloan's "Orange Project" challenge (a year ago maybe), and now I LOVE oranges! And while enjoying this blog hop, I realized I have nothing made for fall. I really must do something about that. Right now I am too busy trying to put my sewing station back together after painting the ceiling and walls!

Oooh! We're all about the orange at my house...orange hair, orange sweatshirts, orange oranges... I would love to make a cheery orange rag quilt with the fabrics (because I only know how to make rag quilts, though your pattern book prize could remedy that lickety-split!)!!
Thanks for the chance to win!!!

What a fun giveaway. I'm actually making scrappy Halloween quilts for Linus. I heard from my local Linus coordinator that they need more seasonal/holiday theme quilts, so that is what I'm working on. Quite fun. I think your fabrics would like to breed with my fabrics and make beautiful Linus quilts.
